1 lb. ground beef
onion, as desired
1/4 c. rice (uncooked)
1 can tomato soup
3/4 can water
garlic salt,oregano and sage to desired taste

Directions:
Directions:
Mix meat rice and onion together and form 1 inch balls. Place in a large skillet to avoid crowding. Pour soup and water (or tomato juice see note) over balls and cook over medium heat for 45-60 minutes or until rice is tender. Occasionally turn the meat balls carefully, during the cooking so the meat will not scorch.

These are commonly called "Porkypines" at the dinner table. I use my own home canned tomato juice instead of soup and water.
