Biscuit Topper:

1 c. sifted all purpose flour
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt.
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. milk
1 slightly beaten egg.

Peach Filling:

1 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. water
4 c.s cliced peaches
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 Tbsp. butter.

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Combine milk and egg and add all at once to dry ingredients, stirring just to moisten. Set aside.
Combine cornstarch, brown sugar and water in saucepan. Cook and stir until thickened. Add peaches and cook until peaches are hot, about 5 minutes
Pour filling into round baking dish. Immediately spoon on biscuit topper in 6 mounds. Bake at 400 for 20 to 25 minutes. Serve warm with cream or ice cream.
