1 stick butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 pt. (1 cup ) sour cream

1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare topping by mixing together 1 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 c sugar and 1/2 c chopped nuts. Set aside. Cream together the butter, 1 c sugar, and eggs. Add vanilla. Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with sour cream. Pour 1/2 of mixture into a greased and floured 10 inch tube pan. Sprinkle on 1/2 of the topping. Add remaining batter and top with the rest of the topping. Swirl through with knife. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 - 45 minutes.

My friend, Eleanor Higney, uses 3 eggs in this recipe and reports it works very well!
