Peanut Butter Kisses Recipe

1 3/4 c. flour
1 t. baking soda
1/2 t. salt
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. peanut butter
1 egg
1 t. vanilla
2 T. milk
chocolate kisses

Cream together shortening, sugars and peanut butter. Add egg, milk and vanilla. Sift together dry ilngredients and add to creamed mixture. Blend until well mixed. Shape dough into balls by teaspoonsfuls and roll in sugar. Bake at 375 for 10 - 12 minutes. Remove from oven and imediately top each cookie with a kiss presing down firmly so cookie cracks around the edges.
