2/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup conrstarch
Dash of salt
2 cups milk
3 egg yolks
2 tbsps oleo
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cup dewberries
1 baked pie shell
1 recipe meringue

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, salt and cornstarch with 1/4 cup milk. Bring remaining milk to a boil, then stir in the sugar mixture. Stir a little of the hot milk mixture into the beaten eggs, then pour the egg mixture into the milk mixture. Bring to a good boil and remove from burner. Stir in the oleo and vanilla. Strain custard to make a smooth pudding. Pour half of the custard into pie shell. Sprinkle with dewberries and top with remaining custard. Spread meringue over top.
