1 10oz box Green Giant frozen sweet peas, thawed
1 small onion finely diced
1 large clove of garlic, minced
2 hard boiled eggs, chopped
4 oz swiss cheese cut into very small chunks
6 slices crisp fried bacon, crumbled
1 small carrot, grated (abt 3 tbsp)
1/4 cup Hellman's Mayonaise

Directions:

Prepare peas as above. Take the garlic and rub it all around inside a 2 quart glass bowl, discard the garlic. Put all the remaining ingredients in the bowl and stir until moistened with the mayonaise. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

This is my version of the old standby. I use uncooked frozen peas, the taste is totally different. I put them straight from the freezer into a colander, rinse them with cold water to get the ice out then let them drain while I put the rest together. Omit the garlic if you don't like it. You can use other cheeses or ham instead of bacon, etc
