1 Cup shortening'
1 Cup sugar
1 3 oz. cream cheese, softened
2 eggs
2 T. orange peel
2 tsp. vanilla
2 Cups sifted flour
1 tsp. salt
1 16 oz. package semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, sugar and cream cheese. Add eggs, orange peel and vanilla. Beat well.

Sift flour and salt, add to creamed mixture mixing well. Stir in chocolate pieces.

Drop from teaspoon 2 inches apart on lightly greased cookie sheet.

Bake 350 degrees for 12 minutes or until done.

Cool slightly before removing from pan.
