4 T. oil or bacon drippings
4 stalks celery chopped fine
2 large green onions
1 green pepper
8 pods okra sliced
3 cloves garlic minced
1 1/2 lb. peeled shrimp
2 large chicken breast, cooked, cubed
1 lb. cooked ham
1 lb. cooked pork
1lb. beef cooked
1 qt. raw oysters
1 lb. crabmeat
1 large can tomatoes
1 can tomato paste
1/4 t. thyme
1 bay leaf crushed
salt & pepper to taste
1 T. chopped parsley
1 T. file' powder

Directions:
Heat oil in large skillet & saute celery,onions, green pepper, okra & garlic till soft but not brown. Add shrimp & cook till pink. Put in large 8 qt. pot & add rest of ingredients except file' powder. Taste and correct seasoning. If too thick, add chicken or beef bouillon. Just before serving add file' powder. Serve over hot fluffy rice.
