3 cups sugar
1/2 cup white syrup
2/3 cup water
2 egg whites
1 tsp vanilla
Nuts are optional (walnuts-cut up)

Directions:
Directions:
Boil the sugar,white syrup, and the water until you have long thready spins. Pour 1/2 of this into the egg whites , beat until stiff and they stand up.Use an electric mixer and while it is being beaten,--- Place the other half on the stove and boil until you get a hard crack when tested in cold water. When ready mix the 2 together add the vanilla, and beat until it is beginning to dull. Add nuts when ready and use a tsp and a knife to drop onto tin foil. They should stand in peaks.

This is a very special recipe, and it never failed. This is just how she does it too! We ate it faster than she could make it. And the grandkids always requested this.
