2/3 cup butter or margerine
4 squares baking chocolate
4 eggs - 3 if extra large
2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter and chocolate together.
Beat eggs and sugar together and add chocolate mixture. Mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Add this to chocolate mixture, beating slowly. Add vanilla and nuts. Put in greased 9x13 pan. Bake in 350 degree oven for 25-30 minutes.

These are the best brownies! Doris Anderson is a wonderful cook and baker. A church member, she spent many hours helping at pie sales, church dinners, making fruit cakes and knitting baby items for the church fair. Doris and Ernie were part of our "New Year's Group" for many, many years.
