1 pkg (10.75 oz.) frozen pound cake, thawed and cut into 9 slices
3/4 c. strong-brewed coffee (room temperature)
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. chocolate-flavored syrup
1 pkg (8 oz.) cream cheese or mascarpone cheese, softened
2 c. whipping cream
2 bars (1.4 oz. each) of chocolate-covered toffee candy (i.e. Health Bars), chopped

Arrange cake slices in bottom of rectangular baking dish, 11 X 7 X 1/2 inches., cutting slices if necessary to cover bottom of dish. Drizzle coffee over cake.
Beat sugar, chocolate syrup, and cream cheese in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until smooth. Add whipping cream. Beat on medium speed until light and fluffy. Spread over cake. Sprinkle with candy.
Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour but no longer than 24 hours to set dessert and blend flavors

This is a new family favorite that I serve for family at the Marshall Inn. It has also been featured for dessert at the Marshall Christmas Seafood Fest. It is very easy to make and tastes delicious to boot!
