1 cup wild rice, rinsed
2 (13 3/4) cans chicken broth
6 slices bacon sliced into 1 inch strips
1 med onion chopped
2 cups sliced mushrooms
!/4 tsp dried thyme
1/4 tsp dried marjoram
1/4 tsp pepper
2 carrots sliced--about 1 cup

Directions:
Directions:
Combine the chicked broth and the wild rice in a 2 qt saucepan. Bring to a boil and simmer covered just until tender about 35-40 min.Do not drain. Saute the bacon until crisp and drain on a paper towel. Saute the onions in the bacon drippings until limp. Stir in the mushrooms, thyme, marjoram, and pepper. Saute about 2 min or longer.Then combine the rice mixture and the rest of the ingredients into a 2 qt cassarole and bake in a 350 oven covered, for 35-45 min. Let stand before serving.
