10 oz caramels (50 caramels)
1/3 c evaporated milk
1 pkg German chocolate cake mix
1 c chocolate chips
3/4 c butter
1/3 c evaporated milk

Directions:
Directions:
Melt caramels and 1/3 cup evaporated milk. Mix cake mix, butter and evaporated milk together. Press 1/2 of the dough into a greased 9 x 13 pan. Bake 6 minutes at 350. Sprinkle chocolate chips, pour caramel mixture over, then crumble rest of dough over top. Bake 15-20 minutes at 350.

Julie says she uses milk chocolate chips and you could also add 1 cup nuts sprinkled over chips, if desired.
