1lb of dry pinto beans
1lb of ground beef
1 chopped onion
1 chopped bell pepper
1 large can of whole, peeled tomatoes
1 large can of tomato juice
1 medium can of tomato paste
1/2 cup chili powder
1tbs ground cumin
1tbs oregano
1tbs cayenne pepper...or more to suit taste
1/2 tbs hot sauce
2tbs masa
salt/pepper to taste

Cook pinto beans until just barely tender...add ALL the seasonings EXCEPT the masa...simmer about 1/2 hour...add the meat, tomatoes, onions, bell pepper and tomato paste...simmer, covered,over medium heat about 2 hours...mix the masa with 1/2 cup COLD water..slowly stir into the chili...cover, reduce heat, simmer about 1/2 hour...

Add in slightly cooked macaroni during last 1/2 hr of cooking for ChiliMac!
