1 bag Success Rice
1 1/4 c. evaporated milk-divided
3/4 c. water
1/3 c. sugar
1/8 t. salt
1/2 c. raisins-optional
1 egg
2 T. butter or margarine
1 1/2 t. vanilla extract

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare rice according to pkge. directions, drain. In a 2-quart saucepan, combine rice, 1 c. milk, water, sugar & salt. Cook over medium heat, stirring often, for about 20 minutes or until thick and creamy. Add raisins, if desired.

Beat egg with remaining 1/4 c. milk. Gradually pour into hot mixture, stirring constantly. Add margarine and cook 1 minute. Remove from heat. Add vanilla.
