Mix together flour, baking powder, sugar, nutmeg, and butter. Beat the eggs lightly, add milk. Add this to dry ingredients. Mix until it forms a soft dough. Roll out on floured board, cut and deep fry. Drain on paper towels. Coat with granulated sugar if desired.
