1 large red cabbage, sliced
1 onion
1/2 cup butter
cloves and salt and pepper to taste
1 Bay leaf
2 to 3 apples, chopped
1/2 cup vinegar
1 tsp sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Saute onion in butter. Add cabbage and 1 pint water, then add all other ingredients. Cook for one hour on top of the stove. Thicken with flour and water before serving.
