1 lb. ground beef or bison
1 small onion (chopped)
1/8 tsp garlic salt
1 (1lb) can tomatoes
1 (15oz) can tomato sauce
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp basil
10 oz lasagna noodles
1 lb creamed cottage cheese
1/2 c parmesan cheese (grated)
2 Tbs. parsley flakes
2 eggs (beaten)
2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
10 oz swiss or mozzarella cheese (sliced thin or grated)

Brown the ground beef, onion, and garlic salt slowly. Drain off excess grease. Add the next 4 ingredients and simmer uncovered for 30 minutes. Cook lasagna according to the directions on the box in boiling water until tender. Drain and rinse. Combine the remaining ingredients except the mozzarella cheese. Place half the remaining lasagna noodles in a 9x13x2 baking dish. Spread with half of the cottage cheese mixture, then half of the sliced cheese, then half of the meat mixture. Repeat the layers and bake in a 375 oven for 30 minutes. Can be made ahead of time and refrigerated (or frozen).
