2 c. sifted flour
1 T. sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening or butter (I use butter)
1 beaten egg
2/3 c. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Sift dry ingredients, cut in shortening. Add milk and beaten egg, stir with fork until dough follows fork around bowl. Knead gently on lightly floured surface. Roll dough into 3/4 inch thickness. Cut into biscuits. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 450 for 10-14 minutes.
