2/3 c. shortening
2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
3 eggs
2 c. flour
1.2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 c. nuts (pecans or walnuts)
1 pkg (7oz.) semi sweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs and beat well. Add dry ingredients and mix until smooth. Add 1/2 of nuts to cookie batter. Mix again and pour into greased cookie pan. Sprinkle nuts over the top and bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes.
