1 c white sugar
1 c soft butter
2 c flour
1 tsp vanilla
pinch of salt

Directions:

Cream the sugar and butter well, add eggs one at a time beating well. Add vanilla and salt, then beat in flour and bake on an iron.

I received the iron from Silvia (Joel's Mom) when she converted her cook-top to glass. Since the iron is caste iron she didn't want to risk breaking it. In the box with the iron was this recipe from Inga (Joel's Great Aunt). These are always made for Christmas and are a favorite.
