1 qt. fresh ripe strawberries
1 c. sugar
3 T. cornstarch
1/4 c. water
1 t. lemon juice
1 pie shell
whipping cream for top

Directions:
Directions:
Make and bake pie shell. Cool. Wash and dry berries. Put half of hulled berries into a sauce pan and crush. Add sugar, cornstarch and lemon juice. Cook and stir over moderate heat until thick and translucent. Cool. Arrange the remainder of berries in pie shell, or add to filling and put the cooled filling and berries into the pie crust. Chill, and garnish with whipped cream and berries.
