1/3 cup shortening
2/3 cup sugar
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 3/4 cup sifted sugar
2 3/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup mashed very ripe bananas

Directions:
Directions:
Beat shortening until creamy. Gradually add sugar, beating until light & fluffy.

Add eggs until thick & pale yellow in color. Sift dry ingredients. Add alternately to mixture with bananas.

Blend thoroughly after each addition.

Turn into greased loaf pan. Bake @ 350 for 60 - 70 minutes.
