3/4 cup butter
2 1/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp vanilla

3 eggs

2 squares unsweetened chocolate

3 cups sifted cake flour
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt

** 1 1/2 cup ICE water ***

Directions:
Directions:
Cream first 3 ingredients. Add eggs and beat till light and fluffy, then add unsweet chocolate.
Sift together the 3 dry ingredients then add to creamed mixture with ICE water. Will make 3 layer cake. Pour into greased and floured cake pans. Bake at 350* for approx. 30 min.

prep time and baking conditions were not on the recipe of "old" paper was very well used and very discolored. Assumptions are made about greasing and flowering the pans and bake time. Good luck and enjoy!!!
