Ingredients:
1 1/2 c. sifted confectioners' sugar
1 c. butter
1 egg
1 t. vanilla
1/2 t. almond flavoring
2 1/2 c. sifted all purpose flour
1 t. cream of tartar
1 t. soda

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and butter; add egg and flavorings; mix thoroughly. Sift dry ingredients together and stir in. Refrigerate 2 to 3 hours. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Divide dough in half and roll out on lightly floured pastry sheet. Roll thin but thick enough to pick up the design in some cookie cutters. Dip cutter in flour before each cutting. Cut as many cookies from each rolling as possible. The least amount of working with the dough gives the best cookie. Place on lightly greased baking sheet. Bake 7 to 8 minutes or until delicately golden. Watch closely. Delicious!
