1/2 c butter
Confectioner Sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 c sifted cake flour
1 c finely chopped pecans
1 jar maraschino cherries drained

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and 2 1/2 tablespoon confectioner's sugar together.Add vanilla,cake flour, and pecans. Chill mixture at least 1/2 hour. Meanwhile cut cherries in hour and drain on paper towel. With chilled dough, form balls about the size of a small walnut, pushing a cherry half into the center of each. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 300 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool--Sprinkle confectioner sugar over top.
