1 pound ground beef round
2 tbsp. bacon fat
1 medium onion, diced
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 green pepper, chopped
1/2 tsp. paprika
1 small can tomato sauce (4 oz.)
1 can condensed tomato soup or crushed tomatoes
1-1/2 c. water
1 tsp. prepared mustard
1 rounded tsp. brown sugar
1 tbsp. cider vinegar
1/2 c. catsup
2 c. elbow macaroni or shells
4 oz. can sliced drained button mushrooms
1/2 c. grated parmesan cheese

In large skillet with cover, brown ground beef in bacon fat. Add salt, pepper, paprika and tomato sauce. Rinse sauce can with water and add. Add mustard, brown sugar, vinegar and catsup. Bring to a boil with tomato soup. Add macaroni and boil 2 minutes, lower heat, stir, cover and cook 1/2 hour. Remove lid and continue cooking until thickened. Add parmesan cheese before serving.
