6 T. flour
1 t. dry mustard
1 1/2 t. salt
1/4 t. black pepper
1 t. garlic powder
1 1/2 lb. round steak, cut 1" thick
1 onion, sliced
1 clove garlic (optional)
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. chili sauce or drained tomatoes

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour and seasonings; rub both sides of steak. Cook onion in hot oil until softened; remove. Brown meat thoroughly on both sides. Return onions to top of steak. Add water and chili sauce or tomatoes. Cover tightly and cook over low heat or in slow oven (325) 2 hours.

I do mine in the oven; Just easier.

I've done this in large amounts. Good served with mashed potatoes, buttered carrots, and black-eyed peas. It has a good gravy on it.
