2 eggs
2 c. flour
1/2 t. salt
2 T. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 c. milk
3 t. baking powder
1 t. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Start with sugar, next add eggs. Mix well. Add all other ingredients except shortening. Mix well. Add shortening last and beat well. Pour into a square baking pan and bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.

Serve w/strawberries and cool whip. This was a favorite dessert for me and my sister when we were growing up. Its best served warm.
