1 cup natural applesauce
cup shortening
1 cup rasins
3/4 - 1 cup sugar
1 egg
2 cups flour*
1 tsp baking soda
tsp salt
1 tsp each nutmeg and cinnamon
t cloves

Directions:
Directions:
Heat applesauce and raisins together in saucepan over low heat. Mix all dry ingredients together, then set aside. Mix sugar, egg and shortening together till well blended, then add applesauce mixture. Slowly add dry ingredients and mix well. Pour into greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 for approximately 1 hour.
