1 c. soft butter (can use half margarine and half shortening)
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt


2 tsp. cinnamon
2 Tbsp. sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter/shortening, sugar and eggs, thourghly.
Sift together dry ingredients and mix well.
Roll into balls the size of a walnut and roll in sugar/cinnamon mixture. (I use a cookie scoop to drop the dough into the cinnamon/sugar mixture.)
Bake at 375 for 8-10 minutes, don't over bake.

I usually double this recipe because it is a favorite. However, if you double recipe use heavy duty mixer. (voice of experience here).
