2 cans black beans (or 2 cans of refried beans)
1 large onion chopped
3 to 4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup salsa (I have made this without the salsa)
salt
pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Sauté the onion and garlic. Add the beans with the liquid into the onion/garlic mixture. Add salsa and salt and pepper. Cook mixture on a very low flame for about 15-30 minutes until it thickens. Let cool a little. In a blender or food processor blend the bean mixture to the desired consistency. (if using refried beans, skip this step)

This is ALWAYS a big hit. Serve with Fritos or any other of your favorite corn chips. Suggested accompaniment: Mexican hat dance and firecrackers. The crowd will go wild.
