2 c. plus 2 Tbsp. flour, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 3 1/2 tsp. baking powder, 1/2 c. shortening, 1 c. milk, 1 tsp. flavoring, 4 egg whites

Directions:
Directions:
Sift dry ingredients into bowl. Add shortening, milk and flavoring. Beat 2 minutes. Add egg whites. Beat two more minutes. Pour into 13 X 9 floured cake pan. Bake at 350 deg. for 35 to 40 minutes. For chocolate chip cake, fold in 1/2 c finely chopped choco. chips
