Ingredients:
3 potatoes & potato water
2 T. shortening
1 large onion
11 slices bacon
5 T. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cook potatoes in a good amount of salted water. Cut/dice bacon and start cooking slowly in another pot along with shortening. Add onions and continue cooking. Add flour and stir. This mixture should be a nice rich brown color without the bacon or onions being burned. Then start adding some of the water from the cooked potatoes. How much you add depends on how thick or how thin you like your soup. Add the potatoes and simmer until you're ready to eat.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This is potato soup that mom made when we were little, but I added the bacon to the recipe (I like bacon).
