cup packed brown sugar
cup butter
8 ounces chopped dates
5 cups rice crispies
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chopped nuts (pecans are best)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, butter and dates in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat for about 5 minutes (until smooth). Remove from heat and add rice crispies, vanilla and nuts. Pack into 8 or 9 inch square pan. Cool. Cut and add powdered sugar.
