Ingredients:  
3 C all-purpose flour
1 C milk
1 C water
1 egg beaten
1 teaspoon salt
2 T baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all the above ingrdients, mixing well. Heat cooking oil in
a deep frying pan and drop by tablespoon into oil. As the
beignets brown, they will turn over. When done, place in a dish
lined with paper towels and sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Children enjoy seeing the different shapes that these make when cooking--also good and fun to eat. One of the many dishes that Grandma Benoit cooked.
