2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. butter (no substitutes)
1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla extract ( or 1 1/2 tsp.
vanilla and 1/2 tsp. almond extract)
Your preferred jam
1/2 c. sifted powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together flour and salt, set aside.
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy, mix in extracts.
Slowly mix in flour, 1/2 cut at a time until just blended.
Chill dough for at least 2 hours.
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Shape dough into 1- inch balls, space 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Make a thumb deep thumb print center of each. Fill with jam.
Bake 15 minutes,or until cookies are lightly browned.
When cooled, dust with powdered sugar.
