2 squares margarine
1 c. water
4 Tbsp. cocoa

Bring above ingredients to a boil and set aside to cool.

Combine:

2 c. sugar
2 eggs
c. buttermilk (powdered)
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour


CREAM CHEESE FROSTING

1 8oz. pkg. cream cheese (softened)
2 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 Tbsp. cocoa

Directions:
Boil margarine, water and cocoa. Set aside to cool.
Cream sugar and eggs, add buttermilk (*if using powdered buttermilk mix powder with sugar and eggs and then add the water it calls for on the package) Add vanilla, soda and flour. Add cocoa mixture, mix well.
Bake in greased jelly roll pan. 20 minutes at 375.
Let cool before spreading frosting.
FROSTING:
Soften cream cheese (Microwave 20 sec) and beat with electric mixer. Begin adding heaping tablespoons of powdered sugar the consistency will change from stiff to creamy as you add the powdered sugar. Add the cocoa when it is not quite the consistency you would spread because the cocoa will make the forsting dry. Add vanilla.
Spread on cooled cake

Cream cheese frosting makes this a favorite cake.
I put chopped walnuts on half of the cake and leave the other half plain.
