1 c. brown sugar
1 c. shortening
1 egg
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flour
1 c. oatmeal (instant)
1/2 c. chopped pecans, raisins or chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Cream brown sugar and shortening together until creamy. Add egg and stir until mixed. Add baking soda, baking powder, salt and vanilla; stir until creamy. Add flour, oatmeal and pecans, raisins or chocolate chips. Bake on 350º for 10-12 minutes.
