Ingredients:  
3 c. brown sugar
3 c. margarine or butter
6 c. quick oatmeal
1 T. baking soda
3 c. flour
Directions:
Directions:
Put into a large mixing bowl; mix well. Form in small balls; put on cookie sheet.
Butter the bottom of a glass, dip in sugar, then flatten balls. Bake at 350° for 10 to 12 minutes.
Variation: May use 1/2 butter and 1/2 margarine.
