½ c. - butter OR margarine, softened
2/3 c. - sugar
1 - egg
1 tsp. - vanilla extract
1 c. plus 2 T. - all-purpose flour
½ tsp. - baking soda
1 (3½ oz.) jar - macadamia nuts, chopped
1 c. - vanilla chips

Directions:
Directions:
In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Beat in the egg and vanilla. Combine flour and baking soda; gradually add to creamed mixture. Stir in nuts and vanilla chips. Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls 2 in. apart onto un-greased baking sheets. Bake at 350° for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Cool for 1 minute before removing to wire racks. Makes about 4½ dozen.
