1-1/2 cup chopped nuts

1 cup sugar
1 cup of brown sugar
1 cup margarine soft
2/3 cup oil
1 T maple extract
2 eggs

4-1/2 cup flour
1 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven 375º
Spread nuts on ungreased cookie sheet and toast 6 - 10 minutes (cool)

Beat together sugar, brown sugar, margarine, oil, maple extract and eggs until fluffy.
Combine flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt.
Add flour mixture to the other ingredients and mix well. Stir in nuts.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour for easier handling.

Preheat oven to 325º
Shape dough into one inch balls.
Flatten cookie with bottom of glass dipped in sugar.
Bake 8 - 12 minutes on until golden brown.
