1 1/2 cups margarine or butter
2 cups sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 eggs
2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
4 cups flour
72 to 96 chocolate kisses
Powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
In large mixing bowl, cream together the shortening and sugar. Add vanilla and eggs. Gradually add cocoa and flour.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Do not grease cookie sheets.
Using 2 tsps of dough, form into balls. Wrap dough around chocolate kiss. Maintain shape of kiss to form a "mountain". Place on cookie sheet.
Bake in preheated oven about 10 minutes until just set. Cool cookies completely. Dip tops in powdered sugar.
