1/4 tsp. soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1/2 c. milk
1 eggs
1/2 c. molasses
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/4c. sugar

Mix all ingredients together well and bake at 300 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes.
