2 T. salt
6 qt. boiling water
1 lb. fettuccine
1/2 lb. (1 c.) soft sweet butter
2 c. freshly grated Parmesan cheese
*Note: Five oz. of cheese makes about 2 c.
1/2 c. heavy cream (at room temperature)
freshly ground pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Add 2 T. salt to boiling water. Gradually add Fettuccine so water continues to boil. Cook, uncovered. Stir until tender. Drain. Place butter in hot 2 qt. casserole. Add Fettuccine and toss gently. Add cheese and toss again. Pour in room temperature cream and toss. Sprinkle with freshly ground pepper, if desired.
Note: I served this with garlic bread, salad and wine of your choice.

When I met Patty in 1995, I knew she was the one for me. We where both still going to College and I had an apartment by myself. I would cook dinners for Patty. I try to make them very romantic, with candles and soft music. I guess it worked and she married me in 1998.
