2 cans whole water chestnuts, drained (reserve liquid) 1/4 cup vinegar 1/2 cup soy sauce 1 lb bacon Brown sugar
Cut bacon into thirds; wrap chestnuts and hold together with toothpicks. Combine vinegar and soy sauce; pour over chestnuts and marinate for at least 2 hours. Drain. Cover heavily in brown sugar. Bake at 325º until bacon is done; 1/2 to 1 hour.
