⅓ C. Butter
1 Pkg. (3 oz.) Cream Cheese (softened)
¾ C. Sugar
1 Egg Yolk
2 tsp. Almond Extract
2 tsp. Orange Juice
1 ¼ C. Flour
2 tsp. Baking Powder
¼ tsp. Salt
5 C. (14 oz. pkg.) Flaked Coconut
1 9 oz. Pkg. Milk Chocolate Kisses (about 54)

Preheat oven to 350º. Cream butter, cream cheese, and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg yolk, almond extract, and orange juice; beat well. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture until well blended. Stir in 3 cups of flaked coconut. Cover dough and chill for 1 hour. When dough is chilled, shape dough into 1-inch balls, roll balls into remaining coconut, and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned on bottom. Remove from oven and press a milk chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie. Allow to cool 1 minute. Carefully remove cookies from sheet and cool until chocolate kiss is firm.

This is one of the "goodies" that Mom would put in her Christmas baskets.
