1 c. pecans, chopped
1 c. candied cherries, coarsely chopped
1 c. pitted dates, coarsely chopped
1/4 c. flour
1/2 c. shortening

1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1-1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
1/4 c. sour milk

Directions:
Directions:
Combine pecans, cherries, dates and 1/4 cup flour; mix lightly and set aside. Cream shortening and brown sugar; add egg and mix well. Sift together 1-1/2 cups flour, salt and soda; add to creamed mixture alternately with sour milk; blend well. Stir in fruit-nut mixture. Drop from teaspoon onto greased cookie sheets. Bake at 375ºF for 10-12 minutes. Makes 3 to 4 dozen.
