1 c. Crisco butter-flavored shortening
1 c. packed dark brown sugar
1/2 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 t. real vanilla extract
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 t. baking soda
1 t. cinnamon
1/2 t. salt
3 c. old fashioned uncooked oats
1 c. raisins
1/2 c. chopped pecans (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat together
shortenings and sugars until light and creamy. Add
eggs one at a time beating well after each one. Add
vanilla. Add combined flour, baking soda, cinnamon,
and salt; mix weell. Stir in oats and raisins; mix well.
Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie
sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet; remove to wire rack.
