Directions:This recipe was invented by my grandfather Victor Marine Senior. He passed it to his son Victor Marine Junior, who in turn passed it on to me, Greg Marine. I have since passed it on to my children. My daughter Emily especially enjoys this treat.
Place 5 or 6 Hydrox or Oreo cookies in a tall glass. Pour milk to cover the cookies. Smash it all with a spoon and enjoy.
For extra fun (and if you want to gross out your Junior High friends), you can use cake instead of cookies. And THEN, you can tell them you are eating THROW-UP. Delicioso! |

Notes: A side note on the name Marine. Victor Marine Senior was born Victor Marino in Krebs, Oklahoma, the son of Italian immigrants. My understanding is that at age 16 he got into a big argument with his father and left home. Later he changed his family name. I can verify that in the records of the ship he took to the Philippines with the U.S. Army in the early 1920s he is listed as Victor Marine (not Marino).
